Wildlights at the Columbus Zoo
Wildlights are back at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium until January 1, 2023! From 5:00 pm to close, you can walk through millions of beautiful LED lights while you visit the animals (including reindeer!). Enjoy animated musical light shows, say hi to Santa, and check out other fun holiday festivities. Regular admission rates apply, but you can save $1 by purchasing tickets online.
BalletMet’s The Nutcracker
Catch a breathtaking performance of BalletMet’s The Nutcracker at the Ohio Theatre in downtown Columbus. The whole family will be delighted by this festive holiday classic with beautiful sets and stunning choreography. Performances are running now through Saturday, December 24th. Holiday Carriage Rides at Easton
Doing some last-minute Christmas shopping? Head to Easton on Friday, December 23rd between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm to take in the holiday lights and displays on a horse-drawn carriage. For the last Holiday Carriage Ride night of the season, you can also get a free family holiday photo at the Central Park Fountain from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Carriage rides are $10 per person, but children under 15 ride free!
Conservatory Aglow at Franklin Park Conservatory
Visit the Franklin Park Conservatory to see dazzling lights and exciting performances for their Conservatory Aglow celebration. From 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm until January 8, 2023, both the indoor and outdoor conservatory will be transformed into a winter wonderland complete with light shows, a disco dance party, ornament trees, refreshments, and much more. Lights at the Scioto Mile
Experience holiday magic this season with Lights at the Scioto Mile illuminating the downtown Columbus area. From Columbus Commons to the Scioto Mile, more than 200,000 lights will be on display until January 2. While you’re there, hop on a segway for a SegAway Holiday Lights Tour from 6:00 pm to 8:15 pm, or wander through Columbus Commons to see their own display with over 400,000 dazzling LED lights strung throughout the park.
Annual Ice Sculpture Tour in Uptown Westerville
From December 16 until December 21 (or until they melt!), visit Uptown Westerville for the Annual Ice Sculpture Tour. Presented by the Uptown Merchants, you can check out 30 lighted, holiday-themed ice sculptures as you stroll up and down State Street. Stop in the shops to find unique gifts for friends and family, or grab a bite from one of your favorite Uptown restaurants!
Noon-Lite Madness at Westerville Community Center
Ring in the New Year while the little ones are still awake to celebrate! On Saturday, December 31st, the Westerville Community Center is holding a Noon-Lite Madness ceremony from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm to celebrate New Year’s Eve “preschool style.” Families can make crafts while enjoying finger foods, music, and more, plus a countdown at noon!
